VIP assistance at Paris-Le Bourget
Star One provides VIP assistance at Le Bourget, Europe’s leading business aviation airport. Our teams accompany passengers on arrival and on departure, in coordination with the operator receiving your aircraft.
An airport with no public terminal
Le Bourget does not work like a commercial airport. There is no single terminal building, no check-in desks and no departure boards.
Instead there are several private terminals, run by companies known as FBOs (Fixed Base Operators). Each has its own buildings, its own lounge, its own access procedures and its own staff. A passenger does not arrive “at Le Bourget”: they arrive at a specific operator, designated in advance by the company operating the flight.
Border and customs formalities take place inside that private terminal, not in a public area.
The airport operates around the clock, with restrictions at night. These constraints shape departure and arrival times, and therefore the way your assistance is organised.
roles and responsibilities
An arrival at Le Bourget involves several parties. Knowing what each one covers avoids unwelcome surprises.
- The flight operator runs the aircraft, manages the crew and selects the destination FBO
- The FBO receives the aircraft, provides its lounge and arranges formalities within its terminal
- The ground handling company services the aircraft : a licensed activity, distinct from passenger assistance
- Star One accompanies the passenger : preparation in advance, coordination with the FBO, luggage, transfer and the rest of the journey
Access to the aircraft steps depends on the operator and the FBO. It is sometimes granted and sometimes not, according to the terminal and the instructions on the day. We request it when preparing your assistance and tell you what has been obtained before your flight, rather than promising it in advance.
Star One does not charter aircraft and does not sell flights. Our work is passenger assistance and ground coordination.
A few kilometres from Roissy
Le Bourget sits less than ten kilometres from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. That proximity makes one situation common, and few providers address it: the passenger arriving on a private flight and departing on a commercial one, or the reverse.
We ensure continuity between the two airports. Assistance at the private terminal, transfer between the sites, then assistance within the terminal at Roissy, with the same contact from start to finish.
The same arrangement applies to journeys over several days, or to delegations travelling in more than one vehicle.
Preparing an arrival or a departure
The details we need are not those of a commercial flight. There is no flight number in the usual sense, and the actual timing is confirmed late.
- The aircraft registration
- The operator running the flight
- The arrival or departure FBO, if already known
- The scheduled time and the direction of the flight
- The number of passengers and the volume of luggage
- The destination address, or the next stage of the journey
- A contact for whoever is coordinating the flight, on the operator or client side
If the FBO has not yet been designated, we check with the operator. We then follow the aircraft by its registration and adjust the pick-up time to the actual schedule.
Arranging your assistance at Le Bourget
Send us the aircraft registration, the date, the direction of the flight and the number of passengers. We check the terminal, submit the access requests and confirm the arrangements before your flight.
Frequently asked questions
Can you meet me at the aircraft steps ?
That depends on the FBO and the operator, who grant access or withhold it. We request it when preparing your assistance and confirm the answer before your flight. Otherwise, we meet you in the lounge of the private terminal.
Which private terminals do you cover ?
Our teams work across the airport’s main business terminals. Which one applies depends on the operator of your flight : send us the aircraft registration and we will check.
Is the lounge included ?
The lounge belongs to the FBO, and access is usually provided for within the terms of the flight. We accompany you there and remain available while you wait, without taking the place of the terminal’s own staff.
Can I connect to a commercial flight at Roissy ?
Yes. We arrange assistance at Le Bourget, the transfer to Roissy and assistance in the departure terminal, with a single contact throughout.
Can you charter the aircraft ?
No. Star One does not charter flights. If your request concerns the aircraft itself, we can point you towards an operator and take over on the ground once the flight is confirmed.
How much notice do you need ?
Forty-eight hours allows us to arrange assistance properly, particularly where access authorisations are required. Later requests are considered, subject to the availability of our teams.
