How we arrange your journey

Star One does not operate a fleet of armoured vehicles. We work with specialist providers and select, for each request, the vehicle that genuinely matches the journey: protection level, capacity, discretion, availability on your dates. This position has a real advantage — the choice is not limited to a single fleet. We give you the homologation level of the vehicle selected, arrange a chauffeur trained in security driving, and prepare the route before your journey. You keep a single point of contact from the quote to the end of the service.

Levels of armouring

The level is chosen according to the context of the journey, not the maximum available. Heavier armouring weighs the vehicle down, reduces its range and shows more. We advise you according to your situation, and the level of the vehicle selected is confirmed at the quote stage.

The common levels

Passenger vehicles generally sit between levels B4 and B7, or VR7 to VR9 under the European standard. Each level corresponds to a resistance defined by standardised testing.

Glazing and bodywork

Protection covers the whole vehicle: thick laminated glazing, reinforced bodywork and, on some models, protection of the tank and wheel arches.

The chauffeur

The vehicle is not enough. The chauffeurs we call on are trained in security driving and route management.

Discretion

A well-chosen armoured vehicle does not stand out. We favour models whose appearance remains that of an ordinary sedan or SUV.

A vehicle built into your journey

This is what sets our approach apart from a simple rental. The armoured car fits into a wider journey that we coordinate as a whole. On a flight’s arrival, the chauffeur is in contact with the host accompanying you in the terminal, and repositions if the formalities run on. On a private-jet departure from Le Bourget, the pick-up takes place as close as possible to the aircraft. Over a stay or an event (Cannes, Monaco, a week of meetings in Paris) the vehicle remains available to a schedule set in advance.

What we do and do not do

Our service covers the selection of the armoured vehicle, the coordination of the chauffeur, the preparation of the route and the monitoring of the journey. We do not provide close protection: this activity is regulated in France and subject to authorisation, and Star One does not carry it out. If your situation calls for it, we direct you to a licensed company and coordinate our work with theirs. We prefer to define our scope clearly rather than suggest a service we do not provide.
